We are energy beings. All that means is that we either radiate positive or negative energy.

It is helpful to remember that your thoughts create your reality. You can either let your thoughts control you or seek control over it. You decide.

When you allow negative energy to get the upper hand, you most definitely will attract toxic people, situations and feelings into your life. On the other hand, when you exude positive energy you will attract pleasant people, situations and feelings. Easier said than done. Although taking the necessary steps to enhance and maintain a positive attitude is advisable, it requires mindfulness. Maintaining a positive attitude is difficult, so here are a few pointers to help you along. Remember, your attitude is directly impacted by your feelings which is the genesis of your thoughts, thus take charge and maintain control of your thoughts TODAY

Keep your mind in check, this way you will be able to moderate your behaviour. Happiness is not some elusive thing that you have to be in pursuit of; You can thank Hollywood for spreading that whopper. Happiness is a mindset, a certain quality of mind that you can develop with consistent practice. It is a choice. If you are miserable as a poor person you will be miserable as a rich person.You have the ability to control how you feel because happiness comes from within. It is not dependent on external circumstances. Develop and maintain a sense of goodwill towards yourself, belief in yourself and never doubt your worthiness. Know that just being here is enough, Period.

I no longer dwell on the past but live in the here and now 

It is best to learn from the past, not dwell there. Make an intentional choice to focus your attention on the present. When you pay full attention to the present you get to consciously live your experience. This process is called mindfulness and it entails shifting your attention fully to what you are doing right now. Life only happens in the present moment, the now. We have been conditioned to focus on the past and the future, which allows the present to slip by. This keeps you from fully enjoying the experience as it's unfolding. It is akin to being occupied taking snapshots of a beautiful view, that we forget to stop and enjoy the actual view. Planning for the future and reminiscing about past experiences is all well and good but it is important to remember that it is this very moment that shapes both.

 I use only positive words to describe myself 

Self-flagellation is not indicative of humility but outright self-sabotage and abuse. If you would not say it to another then do not say it to yourself. Descriptive words can arouse powerful emotions which influence for better or worse our perception of ourselves. Cease being careless about the words you utter and use positive words intentionally and consciously. Using positive language will enhance and affirm your own image. Words hold immense power and can build or break. Using positive words will get you thinking and feeling positive about yourself. Go ahead and change your words to change yourself today. 

 I release any self-sabotage that prevents me from realising my full potential 

Do not allow a self-sabotaging mindset to control you. self-sabotage is behaviour or thought patterns that hinder you from doing what you want to do. One example is when a part of you acts in opposition or contrary to what you desire. Another example is your own behaviour tripping you up thereby preventing you from achieving your set goal. The first step to take back control is to identify and recognise your self-sabotaging behaviours to break the cycle of said behaviour. Being aware of the pattern allows you to intercede with positive actions that will allow you to live your life to your fullest potential.
