‘Today’ is always a good day - first day of a fresh start and new beginnings. So, create new thoughts and new creations that enhance and expand your life, even your universe. You experience the world through your senses and emotions. Emotions are a state of mind - they are created. Realise, therefore, that since happiness is an emotion, you thus have the power to embrace or reject it, the choice is totally yours.  

Discover your truth. To live or be your most truthful self is to release yourself from other peoples’ expectations and definitions, live your truth and most importantly, own it. Remove the social mask and wholeheartedly embrace your personal truth which will lessen your vulnerability to others opinion. 

Thoughts, my friends, are far from harmless, especially the ones buried - hiding deep within your subconscious. These thoughts unchecked grow into beliefs and if it impacts us negatively, we call it limiting beliefs. Let me assure you, our thoughts can be quite absurd, beyond ridiculous at times and yet these silly thoughts do indeed hamper many good people from living their best life. That is why taking each thought hostage, analysing its origin is so very, very important. Limiting beliefs may block you from realising incredible opportunities, which may ultimately prevent you from experiencing the prosperity and joy you deserve.  

Limiting beliefs influence your behaviour, keeping you trapped at your current level of success. It is extremely essential to maintain attention in the present time. Make it a habit to review your conduct, preferably daily and when you feel the need to rationalise or intellectualise bad behaviour, stop yourself. Plato states “You cannot lie to the deepest part of yourself.” Remember, an excuse exists to justify, blame or defend a fault with the inherent intent being to absolve one of accountability. Instead, have courage to accept responsibility for your actions. Sincerely recognise and accept your faults, for only then can you step up and change your behaviour for the better. 

This will propel you from apathy to possibility and transform your perceptions regarding your capabilities. Honour yourself by continuously searching for ways to grow. Integrate the following ‘5R’ practice into your modus operandi - Reassess-Refocus-Realign-Readjust-Reaffirm on a periodic basis.

Seek a more balanced, peaceful and fulfilled life. Write down your thoughts, plans and strategies. Brainstorm fears and problems. Remember what gets measured gets managed. Reframe limiting beliefs and re-evaluate accepted norms. Be open to new ideas, new ways of interacting and thinking. Create a compelling life narrative, draft your "why" story, "who" you are, "what" you do. Define what you stand for, what your values are, know your deal breakers and know your must-haves. Create and implement an affirmation of your desired outcome. Form follows thought and therefore it is vital to use your thoughts as an expression of positive, not negative thinking.  

Affirmations build confidence and serve to propel you into the direction you want to go. Through this methodology you leave the process stronger through acquiring self-awareness and a better understanding of how your cognitions affect your emotional state and behaviour. This knowledge equips you with the necessary skills to deal with future problems. 

Say no to the lies you tell yourself. Say no to your downcast soul. Always remember that faith-hope-love grows from the inside out. The greatest theory of evolution is that it is not the strongest that survive, but those who best adapt to changed circumstances. 

People need the stimulation of problems that comes from being in trouble which serves as the stimulus to motivate them to respond and solve their own problems. Only with the contrast of knowing what they do not want, will they be able to know and appreciate what they do have and want for themselves. 

You need to learn how to select your thoughts the same way you select your clothes every day, with care. Just like you select your outfit to make yourself look good you should select your thoughts to make yourself feel good. Only you have the power to master your thoughts.

Today, choose an action that will send a shockwave of abundance into your life. You can begin to consciously choose your thoughts, and you can change your life no matter what has transpired in it. You can realign your thoughts to change your paradigm. This will change the way you create results. Thoughts are like bullets, once fired they cannot be recalled, therefore guard them well and fire them carefully, with utmost discernment. Move forward with your thoughts, guard against getting stuck and let your conscience guide your actions. Express your creative plans and thoughts and harvest the power of the spoken word. You can find inspiration from others, and others, in turn, will be inspired by you. Do not let fear of disagreement or being scoffed at hold you back from taking risks. Be bold in your endeavours and positive outcomes will happen. Just believe in yourself and have faith in your abilities. However, always ensure that your actions are in alignment with who you truly are. 

Learn to practice gratitude consciously and consistently. Studies show that people that express gratitude daily are significantly happier, more successful, wealthier, less stressed, less negative and furthermore, enjoy better relationships. The gratitude mindset will attract the opportunities and outcomes you desire and deserve.  

This allows you to gain clarity to what is important in your life which aids you to intentionally structure your life to achieve fulfilment. 

So, step into your destiny and share your unique gifts and deepest passions with the world. Live with a profound sense of intention to help directly shape your future, leaving your indelible mark on the world. This will bring you an expanding sense of purpose and joy. We all feel the pain, detachment, loneliness and fear associated with grief whenever we have experienced a huge loss or change in our lives. These real powerful emotions can emerge after the passing of a loved one, the breakup of a relationship, the loss of a job or any other crisis that disrupts your daily routine. Don’t let your light flicker out. Step forward into your greatness. Realign your thoughts to enable you to create positive changes in your life. You are a cosmic spark, so shine brightly and do not let anyone or anything cancel your brilliance.
