When you feel stuck in life there are 3 things you can do, namely change location, change your name or make use of prayer. This is akin to alchemically wiping your slate clean, which leads to a fresh start. You see, all three rest on the premise of shutting down yesterday, being born again albeit spiritually. In all three of the aforementioned scenarios, reimagining is necessitated. This is brought about through name change, location change and belief, that is through prayer you reach a state that through your faith your past is forgiven and you are given a new start, hence the term coined by Christ of being born again.
Creativity and prayer are great sources of growth. I personally have made use of all three in my life thus far, although it was an organic response, instinctively, without prior knowledge of the aforementioned wise profundity.
After dealing with divorce, the death of my beloved father and the demands of being a single parent, I became unglued, felt confused and stuck, as if I were existing outside time, forgotten in the maelstrom of life. So I can attest to the effectiveness of this methodology to become unstuck, which allows you to start playing again in the ebb and flow of life. Hindsight has given me 20/20 vision which allowed me to see the synchronicity between action and result with regard to the methodology.

Life works in cycles and moves to a rhythm outside your control. When you hit a point where everything appears to be in limbo, nothing seems to be moving and like life has decided to put you in the corner for time out. That is when it is essential to keep moving, even at a snail pace is fine, as long as you keep going, as giving up is not an option. Learning, changing and renewing, aka personal growth, is a continued part of life, essentially only coming to a halt when you die.
Having experienced this personally, I can attest to how insidious the process of erasing your essence is. You wake up feeling no desire to do anything but what you are told to do, like an automaton. You barely notice that you are not living but existing as you are kept busy following the norm. That is eat sleep, work and repeat ad nauseam. You only react because the pulse of desire that causes action has ceased in you but you don’t even notice. You have morphed into the perfect slave unaware of being enslaved. You are not fully engaged in life. The passage of time becomes unimportant as you have adopted the preferred schedule of eat, sleep, work, watch television, repeat. Essentially living your life through the actions of others.
The television was the ultimate tool in stealing life away from mankind as it allows you to immerse yourself in storylines, experiencing the feelings as if it was happening to you and ultimately adding to the deception of living a full life despite not leaving the comfort of your sofas. The programmers made sure you experience the full range of human emotions, from rage to exultation. Leaving you emotionally exhausted after your daily television watching, so much so that the idea of interacting with people for real seems too much after your daily grind at work. Thus, the isolation process is insidiously inserted into your schedule. The response to the recent events is ironic since the majority of people have been self-isolating voluntarily for years. The only difference is the commute to work for some and actual work for some has been removed leaving some with eat, watch television and sleep whilst others that can work remotely from home do so as only essential workers are allowed to commute to work.
The ultimate goal is to break direct human contact, which has been insidiously replaced by maintaining relationships via the conduit of artificial intelligence such as the ubiquitous cellphone and through platforms such as Facebook, zoom,Instagram and twitter. Apart from the fact that these devices act as wardens monitoring your every word and keeping track of your movements. We are all being tracked 24/7. We are as free as the inmates of actual prisons, just a matter of degree. Everything you have ever conveyed on any device can be accessed at the click of a button; no human witness needed to testify to your state of mind. Now we are sitting pigeons, monitored and observed. Who would have thought?
When it comes to doing something, planning what you intend to do is vital. Writing down what you want is the essential first step. Doing any of the three steps outlined above allows you to develop and adopt a new persona that will aid you in achieving your ideal lifestyle. Asking questions such as
“Who do I want to be recognised as?"
“What are the characteristics that I want to embody?” and
“How do I want to live?”.
These questions will be answered most truthfully if you have taken the necessary time to reflect through meditation and journaling.
This methodology will help in unveiling your ideal self. Through practicing self-awareness, you will identify the parts of you that need work, which parts need to be discarded and which parts can be kept. Acceptance of the good and bad in you is key in accomplishing the necessary changes.
