We are all guilty of this, working hard at a myriad of things, like our job, but neglecting working hard on ourselves. In this maelstrom called life, you forget that you are the ultimate prize, you are the centre of your existence, without you, there is nothing. You are everything in your world. No, nothing to do with ego, just common sense, because as the creator of this soap opera called your life, you are the only force responsible for how your life unfolds. 

The other characters are in your life, believe it or not, at your invitation. Yes, all the drama in your life is solely scripted by you in its entirety, and here you thought you were talentless. This factoid is hard to swallow, right? Nevertheless, it is true. We are apt to ascribe the good things in our lives as blessings from God and the bad things the doings of the devil. Well, you could not be more wrong. 

So it makes total sense to embrace this tremendous creative power and learn to yield it to create a world wherein you thrive, that peaceful world that beauty contestants long ago so glibly referenced. Yes, this current global brouhaha is, you guessed it, our collective creation. Wait, before you counter with the usual, “no one will create a difficult life for themselves” you forget we are all energy, interacting and impacting one another. Mostly, albeit unbeknown to the majority of the population there is a constant trade of energies, some downright thievery, leaving some souls with ‘low energy’. This is where the apt saying ‘giving your power away.’ originate from. No hogwash, because we do not realise what powerful energies we are, we allow others to feed off us, like vampires, and no, they are not sucking blood, but your vital life force, leaving you without the necessary juice to create the life you so desire. 

You now recall how some people are just brimming with energy, well, it is because they have depleted some poor soul from their energy, sucked it right out of them, drained their batteries is an apt description. The harm in this is that the vampiric human receives an energy surge whilst the victim experiences fatigue which prevents the victim from being as efficient and productive as they could be. It is therefore important for you to be aware that you may be susceptible to having your energies stolen from you and learn ways to protect yourself. Millions of people around the world are lacking the energy and vitality they once possessed. They thus feel spiritually disconnected and experience feelings of loneliness and desperation. These feelings may amplify levels of stress, anxiety and fear, which may compromise immunity and increase the risk of chronic health conditions such as depression, etcetera.

Wake up people; energy is the number one currency that matters. It never loses value as it cannot be destroyed and is the only fuel needed to create, apart from imagination. The song Imagine by the Beatles guy says it all, period. The physicality of life is not above spirit, the body is not all that is. We are firstmost spirit. God is energy, aka spirit. The body has its own spirit aka soul. Your body and mind hold the secrets to longevity, happiness and health. Your energy emits a frequency that attracts the same frequency. Thus the edict “positive people attract more positivity and negative people attract more negativity.”

Spiritual clearing is a term used to describe a process that people need to adapt to clear and ward off incoming negative energy from their energy field which helps in maintaining balance. It is important to protect yourself with an energy shield to prevent your energy from being siphoned off. An energy shield is an imaginary shield created by your intention. This light energy barrier may act as a defence or deflecting shield ensuring that not much beyond positive influences are getting in. This shield is a line of defense against the onslaught of negative energies from affecting your body, mind and soul and furthermore protects you physically and psychically from vampiric energy attacks or intrusion. 

Begin this process by first setting the intention. 

1. Quieten yourself and release any stresses or tensions that you feel. Allow your body to completely relax. 
2. Take in a few deep breaths and focus your mind in creating an energy shield utilising light from Source. 
3. Visualise a protective light around you; this will block vampires from cutting into you so viscerally.

There is a spectrum of colours to choose from; each imbued with specific protective characteristics according to your needs. Another method is making use of crystals as energy healing tools that will boost your emotional state and your energy field. Crystal energetic protection provides you with a sense of security and safety. It allows you to traverse the world without being affected by unwanted, low vibrational energy and cuts the cords that bind you to others' toxic energy. You can place the protective crystals on specific areas such as window sills, etcetera or carry or wear protective crystals and amulets to act as energy shields.

Being aware of which people depletes your energy enables you to limit your interaction with them. Energy vampires come in all types and can be your family, friends, neighbours, etcetera. Energy vampires range from the intentionally malicious ones to those that are unaware of their effect on others. Most energy vampires fall into the latter category, totally unaware that they are siphoning energy from others. So when next you inexplicably feel drained, don't just brush it off, but rather rewind and recall whom you have interacted with, in order to identify said vampires. Vampires are not always easy to spot; some may exude negative energy that drains your emotional energy. Others are obnoxious and overbearing whilst some are quite charming and friendly. 

They generally lack empathy, consideration and or emotional maturity. Some have allowed their vibration to become too low so they are forced to feed on other people's energy to replenish their own, in order to function. They accomplish this by constantly seeking reassurance, vying for attention and ultimately creating a lot of drama so that they can feed off your emotional energy. You can counter the frequency of someone else’s emotions, as well as lighten the strain of other people’s stress on your own health by using specific crystals to act as a barrier. Do not allow others to dull your shine, poison your spirit or impact you negatively with their drama. 

Strive to acquire a fuller knowledge of yourself, maintaining an unceasing drive towards unity and integration within yourself. Ultimately, the acceptance of your own intrinsic nature, will lead to self mastery. After enhancing yourself with this knowledge, you will be able to stand firmly by your decisions with utter confidence, knowing that it is right and thus stay committed to your choice.
