This is simply a great time to be at one with yourself. The world is in need of thriving, self-actualised people to lead during this time of seismic change. When you are operating at your best, you decidedly impact the world at large. It is vital to remove all self-sabotaging tendencies. It is good to be on the go and strive towards your dreams, but at the same time it is important to pay attention to your internal needs, in order to experience exponential momentum in your life. Spend some time relaxing with a good book or dance along to your favourite songs. Do whatever makes you feel spiritually nourished. Is it easy or difficult for you to be in stillness with yourself?

If you choose to focus on the positive, you can work to build a bright new future.Being of service to others ultimately converts to being of service to oneself, as everyone that has ever helped another can attest. Nothing equals the feeling of joy, glee, satisfaction one get from knowing you made a difference to another’s life.

Contemplation is a powerful process known to assist in finding emotional balance, forgiveness, compassion, harmony, kindness and passion. It is a way to get your thoughts out into the open and writing them down furthers the weeding process.

What are you discovering about yourself? This process allows you to forgive and let go, whether it is a person who has wronged you, a troubling thought you have had or even elements of yourself. Remember not to be to hard on yourself.

Life is a learning curve with many bumps along the way. Without these bumps, it would be a rather dull ride. Dust yourself off, shake out your tailfeathers and keep going. Don’t let life’s hurdles weigh you down.Have faith in your own strengths and virtues and remember staying focused on your own goals and the bigger picture. Maintain focus on whatever mission or goal you are trying to achieve and pursue it wholeheartedly.

This quote by Plato resonates strongly with me " We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. Marianne Williamson goes on clarifying it further in her poem Our Deepest Fear as follows,

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. It’s not just in some of us. It’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberate others.

Making the smallest decision with regard to your future can be oh so very difficult, especially in these uncertain times when everything is up in the air, but remember, not making a decision, is a decision. It is essential to spend some time alone and reflect, especially in nature and to take things easy. This is a great exercise in organising your thoughts.

Society has conditioned us into believing that we must always be doing things. However, it is actually vital that you are able to spend time in stillness and emptiness. Knowing that you have alone time and basking in your own presence is enough.

Learn to appreciate and value the importance of taking an occasional break as this allows you to recharge. Access your innate, real-life superpowers and manifest the life you were meant to live. Meditation, reflection and absorbing yourself in creative pursuits is a wonderful way for you to find inner peace.

Do you maintain a healthy balance between the fun lighter aspects of life and the heavier, more intense aspects? Paying attention to your emotional state aids healing, as you sort through disturbances which caused you pain and conflict. This allows you to experience peace within yourself even when you cannot find peace with another.

Reflection leads to inner balance which can flower into wisdom, birthing new insights and allows you to perceive matters from various perspectives. Spending time in nature is important, as nature has an inspiring effect upon you and is very nurturing to seeds of ideas.

Acceptance is very important in practising self-care as accepting that you are apt to make countless mistakes in your journey, is freeing. Accepting yourself warts and all is key in becoming whole and ultimately lead to self-mastery. Be gentle with yourself. Allow yourself the necessary time to just be.
